Didn't say if they are allowed to sell them to China and/or Al Qaeda.

Hell, every NATO control has access to them.

ITT INDUSTRIES -
ADVANCED TACTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS
(ATCS)

ITT Industries Aerospace/Communications Division is a key supplier of ground and airborne tactical communication systems for allied military forces worldwide. Our key products include SINCGARS Tactical Radios, SINCGARS Network System products such as Internet Controller (INC) and Management Systems. In addition, we also supply multimedia communications systems such as the Mercury Wideband Network Radio (WNR) and Situation Awareness Command Messaging Systems (S-TBMS) for the modern battlefield.

SINCGARS TACTICAL RADIOS

In cooperation with the US Army, ITT Industries has developed one of the foremost families of combat net radios in the world - SINCGARS. Over its lifetime, SINCGARS has undergone a carefully planned series of enhancements to create a Tactical Communications System that is now the linchpin of the Army's Tactical Internet, and the core VHF technology for the UK Bowman program. ITT SINCGARS radios are fully qualified and standardised by the US Army and Marines through stringent testing for worldwide service.

SINCGARS ATCS

ITT SINCGARS is the world's first and finest VHF-FM secure, frequency hopping, anti-jam combat net radio. Our ATCS Receiver/Transmitter (RT) weighs approximately 4.1kg with an integrated BA-5590 lithium battery. This extremely lightweight radio is ideally suited for light tactical, extremely mobile forces. The following unique features make SINCGARS ATCS the best combat-proven anti-jam radio in the world today.

  • Ready for immediate secure Frequency Hopping (FH) communications
  • Programmable hopsets and lockouts via laptop with fill device
  • Multiple FH nets operable in same geographic area without interference
  • FH nets can be "hailed" by non-SINCGARS radios for joint operations in SC mode
  • SINCGARS is ready for Communications Security (COMSEC) communications at initial turn-on with provided re-key and talk variables
  • A compromised receiver-transmitter can be eliminated from the net by the controller without the user's knowledge
  • Data rates from 600bits per second to 16 kilobits per second can be used.
  • During data operation, radio automatically recognises difference between data and voice and switches signal path accordingly
MERCURY WIDEBAND NETWORK RADIOS (WNR)

The Department of the Army's first field-proven wideband network radio is also the first choice for mobile operations. ITT Industries' Mercury Wideband Network Radio (WNR) has been selected by the US Army to provide Tactical Operation Centers of the 4th Infantry Division C2 on the move. Continuous high-speed access to multimedia services - data, graphics and video - will now be available to commanders. With WNR technology, commanders are free to manoeuvre without fear of losing connectivity. Mercury automatically organises and maintains the network for them while they are on the move. This is made possible by adapting commercial networking practises to military needs and then combining them with the latest in modern technology.

Not only is Mercury WNR the first field-proven wideband network radio, but it is also the first tactical radio ever to carry a video conference between moving ground-based command vehicles and the first data radio to be used in a combination of sea and airborne operations.

Features:

Open architecture • Bandwidth on demand, expanded data • Commercial and military protocols • Rapid reprogrammable software • Interoperability • Network management • Mobile networking • Automatic network formation • Global positioning system (GPS) • Security and systems protection • Modular design.

SINGARS TACTICAL BATTLEFIELD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (S-TBMS)

Today's military commanders are looking for a system that provides the common picture of the battlefield. Employing the latest advances in Technology, S-TBMS provides this capability effectively, giving comprehensive, real-time Situation Awareness (SA) and Command Messaging (CM) facilities to the people who need it.

Key benefits:

  • Military and other digital map formats
  • Tracking individuals or groups
  • Situation overlays (eg zones, minefields)
  • Record and playback of tracked routes
  • Alerts triggered automatically
  • Distribution of command messages and reports
  • Full military and other symbology
  • Easy to use, with minimal training requirements
