Media Campaign To Get Support For
NATO's Muscle Flex Hits High Gear

3/23/99

USA Today ran this headline;
"Milosecic at brink, U.S. warns"

It regarded this comment by Richard Holbrooke;
"We are on the brink of military action."

No commentary about the people dying as
the U.S. continues it's idiotic threat campaign.

Holbrooke apparently met w/ Milosevic for 4 hrs. the day before.
(I'm not sure what he expected to accomplish.)
Milosevic apparently told Holbrooke to go to hell.

The Senate is deliberating on legislation to give Congress
the power to block the spending of $$$ on the intervention.

Senate whip Don "I support the oil industry" Nichols
actually state that Kosovo belonged to Serbia.

I'm pretty sure it's the 1st relevant comment he's ever had.

In Moscow, Primakov urged the U.S. not to strike.
He said he was actually dumb enough to believe that
"political levers are far from exhausted."
(No wonder Russia is so screwed up.)

Dollar Bill is briefing Congress on his brilliant
job of sitting on his thumb for the last yr.

He claims NATO is "united" in it's resolve.
(Resolve to do nothing but make threats.)

Holbrooke is expected to meet w/ Milosevic today,
as more women and children get slaughtered.
