Dollar Bill spoke to the press corps today
on the south lawn of the White House.

Claimed NATO's mission was "clear."

Also claimed he wanted a "durable peace"
and to "restore Kosovars to self-government."

Could have fooled me for the last yr.

Richard Holbrooke wasted more time in Belgrade
trying to get Milosevic to sign the 'peace accords'.
While more women and children died.

He said that 4 yrs. of talks led nowhere.
(Really? Can you believe that?)

They scheduled a phone conversation for tomorrow.
(Again, no word on what he is trying to get out of it.)

Holbrooke claims all 19 NATO members
support  the impending air strike.
(Hard to believe these people will still follow a Dollar Bill plan.)

The Senate was still debating a GOP plan to give
Congress the authority to cancel the operation.

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees
claims 60,000 have been left homeless in the last round of fighting.

More troops were reported en-rout to Kosovo
from the interior of Serbia.

Food convoys for the refugees were reportedly blocked
and at least one driver beaten as Westerners were
threatened w/ retaliation if NATO attacks.

NATO claims 3 of 7 rebel strongholds have been destroyed
as Holbrooke claims he is not going to get into
protracted negotiations as people get slaughtered.

NATO air strike were 1st OKed 1/30/99.
