Miltope Corporation specializes in the design, development and production of rugged computers, workstations, printers, airborne data servers, mass storage devices and related peripherals that must operate in the most demanding environmental conditions. Located in Montgomery, Alabama, Miltope’s corporate headquarters and main production facility’s engineering design and development capabilities are augmented by facilities in Boulder, Colorado and Springfield, Vermont. These two locations are staffed by seasoned engineering professionals specializing in the design of systems meeting the stringent environmental requirements of MIL-STD-810 and the commercial airborne requirements of DO-160. Each of Miltope's engineering facilities contains in house test capabilities to include EMI/EMC chambers, as well as complete temperature, shock, vibration, and humidity equipment. Miltope is appropriately staffed, properly equipped, conveniently located, and completely dedicated to providing the latest technologies to meet system, market, and specific customer requirements.

PCU-5100

The PCU-5100 is an extremely rugged tablet computer utilized by the US Army through the PM TMDE as a standard platform for maintenance and diagnostics of all tracked and wheeled vehicles and weapons systems. The PCU-5100 boasts a completely sunlight readable active matrix display and is also available with a touchscreen. The PCU-5100 has multiple expansion options, including PCMCIA, IEEE 488, RS-422, Ethernet, GPS, and USB. The PCU-5100 is available with AC or DC power or it can run off the internal battery for a minimum of 2 hours and up to 8 hours with the external battery pack. The wide operating temperature range with cold start at –32OC and up to +70OC allows for extensive use in the severe elements without degradation to the machine’s capabilities.

RUGGED, SEALED DISK CARTRIDGES

Ruggedized for the airborne environment where extremes of temperatures, shock, vibration, humidity and air pressure are common. – Miltope’s rugged, sealed disk cartridges are field proven in "on-the-move" operation in tracked and wheeled vehicles as well as airborne and shipboard applications.

Miltope’s rugged sealed disk cartridges are available in a variety of form factors and capacities. From Miltope’s MD or Mini-Disk cartridge with a capacities up to 20GB to the HPC or High Profile cartridge with capacities of 72 GB, to our Solid State Disks with a capacity of up to 9742 MB. Cartridges are available in SCSI, EIDE, and Fiber Channel interfaces.
