XANTIC - SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SOLUTIONS

Xantic offers a wide range of applications especially developed for satellite communications. These applications enable our customers to make cost effective and optimal use of the available satellite solutions. We are constantly developing new ways of communicating in remote areas, and we make use of existing satellite platforms, including Inmarsat, Iridium, Astra, Intelsat and Eutelsat.

Xantic was formed by the merger between Station 12, Telstra Global Satellite, SpecTec and KPN Broadcast. The shareholders are KPN (65%) and Telstra (35%).

PRIVATE VSAT NETWORKS

Xantic offers dedicated broadband network solutions for Peace, Aid and Government organisations. Xantic's product portfolio consists of two basic VSAT products: Broadband Access and Broadband WAN. Since 1995 Xantic, has provided The Royal Netherlands Army with tailor made (fixed and mobile) VSAT solutions. Several ministries of Foreign Affairs, including the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign affairs are using Xantic’s Private VSAT Network.

INMARSAT SERVICES

Inmarsat is one of the worlds most advanced mobile satellite systems and provides global coverage. Xantic has more than 10 years' experience in serving several armed forces, including the Royal Netherlands Armed Forces with Inmarsat services and applications. Other organisations using Xantic's services include NATO, the UN and the OSCE.

Mini-M VOICE, FAX AND DATA COMMUNICATION

By using a low weight portable terminal (Thrane & Thrane or Nera) with a weight of 2.2kg, you can have access to:

  • Two-way voice (4.8kbps), fax (group 3kbps to 2.4kbps) and low speed data (2.4kbps)
  • Prepaid solution with an English, French and Spanish version
GAN (GLOBAL AREA NETWORK)

The GAN Mobile Voice Service offers all the features of the Inmarsat mini-M terminal, namely voice at 4.8kbps and fax and data at 2.4kbps, as well as:

  • Full Mobile ISDN Service (64K, 56K), which redefines levels of speed and capacity across multiple forms of communication
  • Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS) which allows for continuous and low cost online connections - costs are minimised because you are only charged for the actual transmitted data packets rather than for the time you are online
INMARSAT-C

With a low-cost terminal and a very small antenna, Inmarsat-C enables you to send faxes and to send/receive data, telex and emails. Inmarsat-C is also available for fleet management solutions.

AMOS CONNECT EMAIL MESSAGING

AmosConnect is a high-end cost effective email solution designed to be highly efficient for satellite connections, that provides for integration of telex, fax, email, interoffice communication and access for mobile personnel in a single messaging system.

Providing easy access to the Internet from any Inmarsat-A, -B, -M, mini-M or GAN terminal.


Through its Land Earth Station in Burum (the Netherlands)
and Perth (Australia) Xantic can offer global coverage
for all Inmarsat, Intelsat and Astra Services.

 

PHONECONNECT

Xantic offers a 'click and call' voice service to enable you to manage all of your fixed-to-mobile traffic with a high degree of ease and efficiency, using the internet. This call back service is significantly cheaper than conventional fixed-to-mobile calls and has flat rate charges including landlines.

CHATCARD

The new Xantic ChatCard enables commanders or managers to offer crew and staff the chance to talk without having to worry about credit checks, bills, switching SIM-cards or the compatibility of cards and services. This prepaid ChatCard, with billing by the second, is available for all Inmarsat voice services with flat rates for every destination.
