"Containment"
During the height of W.W. II, when U.S. soldiers
were dying to fight
"godless Communism", major donors to the Democratic and
Republican parties were selling everything from oil drilling
equipment to food to our stated national enemies.
Some of the anti-JFK literature handed out in Dallas prior to
his assassination referred to his sales of wheat to Communists.
For years, the govt. allowed the sale of high tech machinery and
computers to Austria, which was virtually a communist state.
These items were often sent straight to the Soviet Union.
We let the war criminal Alfried Krupp
out of jail so he could rearm Germany.
Then he went and built steel mills in China and Russia.
We bought the titanium for the SR-71 from Russia,
giving them
much-needed hard currency and keeping their miners at work.
Ollie North did the same, when he bought some of
his weapons for the Contra mercenaries from China.
