In 1998 the Russian Post Department commemorated the birth of
engineer Michael Koshkin. Though he died in 1940 at the age of 42, he was
chief constructor of the best main battle tank ever seen - the famous T-34.
His design became the basis for a plethora of Russian armored
vehicles that eventually struck so much fear into the West that we
built several different type of nuclear warhead and delivery
systems to defeat them in the expected European war.
