The City Council has adopted an ordinance that
allows the police chief to dish out a supervised hour
of listening to Lawrence Welk, the Bee Gees or other
artists as punishment for those who violate the noise law.
Infractions include blaring stereos, driving cars with loud mufflers,
throwing rowdy parties or starting construction too early.
Violators can avoid the music and community service by paying fines.

Also didn't mention if the ordinance applies to
local high school bands practicing in residential areas.
