Maryland Says "Yes" To
More Flammable Homes4/12/99
The Maryland legislature passed a law to
cut taxes for new home buyers by 50%..It cut the amount a mortgage servicer must
force them to pay up front for future property taxes. The bill was not publicized and was, of course,
championed by lobbyists for the real estate industry.Update: 4/15/99
The Washington Post finally ran a story on the issue.
Seems the average post 7/1/2000
home buyer will get a $680 rebate.Look for more forests to be cut down,
to build flammable frames for America's homes. They had a nice little photo of one of the idiots who
passed the bill to subsidize America's inneficient homes.
