This picture shows why the Pentagon is the
most awesome waste of land there ever was.


It's a huge building. But is only 5 floors high.

That's way too much land to be using for office space.

Notice the huge parking lots!?

The thing is built over a Metro subway station, and has
a huge lot far receiving over 10 Metro buses at a time.

So why even have parking lots???

If you have the place at a perfect location
you shouldn't even need to use cars.

If you must have the car option, the parking
lots should be multi-leveled to save land.

That's not even the real story.

Get this!
The building is ready for the scrap heap.

It has leaking pipes, a bad electrical system
(just what you need in the computer age)
and lots of fire-proof, cancer-causing asbestos that must be removed.

Instead of constructing a new building, and doing it right,
Clinton is going to let the Pentagon spend about
$2 billion to renovate it one wing at a time.

Let Me Repeat.
