The West wants Hungary in NATO so they have to but our weapons.
As, America and Europe compete for contracts, they are
sure to bribe off the Hungarian politicians along the way.

(27,500  are draftees)

(mostly obsolete Christie-types)

Fighter Aircraft:

(includes MIG-29 and MIG-21s)
Russian technicians are used to
keep the equipment functioning.

While Hungary has been buying Western weaponry like the Saab at right, it has done little to cut it's CO2 emissions.

The Plan
Hungary has an interim plans to buy up to $1.7 billion worth of Western fighters.

It will be over 10 yrs. until it meets NATO standardization requirements.
About 20% oppose NATO entry.
