The 1/17/06 AP/Yahoo blurb below didn't
say if the company will at least be fined.
I wonder what the cyanide was meant to be used
for?

Firefighters load dead fishes into the container in Nymburk,
Czech Republic on
Thursday 1/12/06 after a cyanide spill
from nearby chemical company LZ
Draslovka Kolin on Jan. 9.
Czech authorities were investigating a cyanide spill
that
has killed tons of fish in a river Elbe that flows into
Germany, officials
said on Tuesday, 1/17/06.

I guess cyanide doesn't kill any
other
organisms that live in the river?
Or, maybe AP just doesn't think they matter.
