Korean 'Comfort Women'

During W.W.II the Japanese had a habit of forcing women
from the countries they controlled, to be prostitutes.

They were literally sex slaves.

If they did not cooperate they were beaten, tortured and/or killed.

Most of these women were from Korea, some as young as 10 yrs. old.

Many of the hundreds of thousands of Comfort Women,
as the Japanese Army liked to call them, were treated
as badly as any Jewish concentration camp occupant.

After the war the U.S. made no effort to prosecute
Japanese for war crimes against these women.

In 1952 we actually signed a treaty that settled
any war reparations claims once and for all.

Japan was allowed to get away w/ not giving compensation
to Comfort Women or POWs it enslaved during W.W.II

The U.S. was too concerned w/ gaining
Japanese support for World War III.

Over the yrs. many former Comfort Women have tried to get
the Japanese to compensate them for their enslavement.

S. Korea's corrupt, U.S.-supported govt.
has made little effort to get Japan to pay up.

Woman have often protested at Japan's Embassy in Soul, S. Korea.

The Japanese can't even admit to these or other
 atrocities their Army committed during W.W.II.

After the war, America decided to let Japan
write their own history books.

Guess What?

Their history books left out the part about the Women and U.S. POW/MIAs.

Many elections for Japan's legislature have Japan's war crimes as a main issue.

Many Japanese don't want the govt. to apologize and pay war reparations.

1995
The Premier of Japan visited the U.S.

When he went to the White House, President Clinton
said nothing of the issue, even though former
Comfort Women were outside protesting.

I was outside protesting for the POW/MIAs
that Japan refuses to compensate.

Clinton said nothing for them either.

He did, however, sign a deal to sell more weapons to Japan,
whom he expects to play a "greater role in Asian security".

In other words, we want the POW torturing, child raping,
Japanese on our side when we go to war w/ the Chinese.
