1932 Japan started war w/ China. 1940 Japan took control of Indo-China after French surrender to Germans. 12/7/41 Japan attacked Pearl Harbor to keep the U.S. fleet from stopping it's invasion of the Dutch East Indies colony. 12/8/41 Japan invaded Philippines to protect it's forces from U.S. counter attacks from the islands. It's Zero and other weapons were made w/ U.S. technology and/or materials. May 1945 Soviet troops began moving into Manchuria and Japan's Kurile Islands. 1944 U.S. B-29s began fire-bombing Japanese cities. 8/6/45 One U.S. B-29 droped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima. 8/9/45 One U.S. B-29 droped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki. 8/14/45 Japan signed "unconditional surrender" in Tokyo Bay on the U.S.S. Missouri. The flag Perry flew in 1853 was mounted on one of the ship's 16 in. gun turrets. Japan Used Land Mines W/ Mixed Results Japan Committed Numerous Atrocities And It Was All America's Fault Treaty Of San Francisco Allowed War Criminals To Go Free
