what a failure our shuttle program has been.

Engineers inspect Japan's delta-wing space shuttle after a successful test
flight on Christmas Island in the South Pacific Friday, Oct. 18, 2002.
The unmanned jet-powered craft lifted off the island and soared for about 8 kilometers (5 miles)
in a 10-minute flight before landing with only a slight jolt, Japan's space agency announced.
