RETRANSMITTED TO CLARIFY CAPTION:
A rubber-coated steel pellet lodged in the skull, behind the eye socket,
of thirteen-year-old Palestinian Fadi Mreish is seen in this x-ray held by
a worker at Mukassed hospital in east Jerusalem Friday, Aug. 6, 1999.
Israeli troops enforced a curfew in the troubled city of Hebron for a
third straight day Friday as the 13-year-old Palestinian boy recuperated.
The boy's father said his son had lost his sight in the left eye but was in stable condition Friday.
He said the teen was hit when Israeli troops opened fire Thursday without provocation.
