TRIE GAINED ENTREE
FOR CHINESE OFFICIAL
Head of Weapons Firm Joined Small Gathering With Clinton
Wash. Post 12/20/96
Charles Yah Lin Trie is an old friend of Pres. Clinton.
He gave over $640,000 to Clintons legal defense fund and was a member of
the DNC finance board whose job was to solicit funds from the Asian community.
Trie has major business interests in China including
an eatery in Beijings busiest shopping district.
In an effort to expand his stake in China he decided to prove to
the Chinese govt. that he had access to the President of the U.S.
Feb. 6, 1996
Trie invited Wang Jun to one of Clintons fund raising 'coffees'.
Wang is the head of Chinas main investment company,
China International Trade and Investment Corp.(CITIC).
The company is run by the Chinese govt. and has
over $21 billion worth of assets around the world.
Jun is also the chairman of Poly Group whose subsidiary
Poly Technologies is a major supplier of land mines,
tanks, missiles and rifles to developing countries.
Jun was a major source of military weapons
to the Khmer Rouge and Hun Sen. Hun Sen
recently staged a bloody take over of Cambodia.
His soldiers used some of Wang Jun's hand-grenades to
break up a pro-democracy rally in early August 1997.
Several were killed and many wounded.
One young woman had both of her legs blown off.
Poly Technologies is also responsible for the illegal
smuggling of AK-47 assault rifles into the U.S..
The meeting w/ Clinton occurred 1 week after the Navy confirmed
that China was selling ship-to-ship cruise missiles to Iran
and nuclear weapon production equipment to
Pakistan.
Clinton claims he never actually spoke to Wang
and that he didnt know who he was.
Hillary Sure Knows Wang Jun
Several months later the Washington Post
reported that Jun claimed he had been invited to the White House by
Lehman Brothers Inc., which is a New York investment
company competing w/ other firms for business in China.
Wang insisted he didnt want
to go to the White House saying;
I said again and again that Clinton was too busy.
I had little to talk to him about.
Apparently Wang forgot that the Pres. was watching football
the day Francisco Duran shot at the White House w/ an SKS
assault rifle made by Wangs Poly Technologies corp.
Lehman Brothers insists that it had no role
in getting Wang in to see Dollar Bill.
Wangs contact w/ Lehman Brothers was Ernest G. Green,
a longtime friend of Clinton and Tries, who gave a
$50,000 donation to the DNC the day after Wangs Visit.
Wang also said of Lehman Brothers;
Lehman has always been an important partner for CITIC."
"Every time I visit... I meet w/ Lehman Brothers.
They are working hard to become the lead underwriter for
Chinese debt in the U.S..
As head of CITIC Wang reports directly to Chinas State Council,
but he claims he doesnt get involved w/ politics in China or the U.S..
(Yeah, right!)
Chinese Gun-Runner Too Good For
Hillary
Wang claims that in 1995.
During a U.N.
conference on womens rights in Beijing,
he received an invitation to meet w/
First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton.
He was to busy, so he turned her down.
I wonder what Wang would know about womens rights?
Wang has found time to entertain former Pres. Bush
and former secretaries of state Kissinger and Haig.
Wang calls Kissinger a good friend.
Trie Skips Town
A Justice Department task force looking into illegal
campaign contributions and Sen. Fred Thompson,
who heads the Senate committee looking into the
DNCs illegal campaign activities is trying to get in
touch w/ Trie, so they can question him about his role.
Trie has left the U.S. and his whereabouts are unknown.
(Gee, I wonder if he went to China?)
CITIC is in charge of soliciting foreign investors and
guiding them through Chinas bureaucratic red tape.
(And we all know bribes are what cut red tape.)
It owns one of Chinas largest banks and is involved in the production
of satellites, autos, bridges, tunnels,
textiles and chemicals.
( Not to mention AK-47s and land mines.)
It also owns several law firms and department stores.
