Friends of Teofil Peter, late bass player with the Romanian rock band
'Compact,' hold his picture outside the US embassy in Bucharest, Romania,
12/8/04. Peter died in a car crash early Saturday when his taxi was hit
by a US embassy car allegedly driven by a Marine who tested positive
for alcohol in a breath test after the accident. Having immunity
from prosecution, the Marine left the country immediately after
the accident Saturday. Dozens of protesters rallied Wednesday to
call on American authorities to return the U.S. Marine to Romania.
