An international treaty to allow war crime prosecutions by the UN is
opposed by the U.S. even after being watered down to get it's support.

Sen. Jesse Helms (R-NC) is a hard-core conservative.
He is opposed to the UN in general.

He led the effort to stop America's payment of it's UN dues.

He is also a militarist who claims to care
about our POW/MIAs, veterans and soldiers.

He is opposed to the UN's right to prosecute U.S. soldiers
who might commit war crimes on foreign soil.

Clinton is also opposed to the treaty because his friends Wang Jun
and Henry Kissinger could be prosecuted for their ties to Pol Pot.

Kissinger Also Has To Worry About His
Bombing Campaign Over Indo-China.

Our new president, George Bush, is also
opposed because an old family friend, former
National Security Advisor Brent Scowcroft, was
also heavily involved in the Indo-China air attacks.

His dad was also tight w/ Manuel Noriega and Saddam Hussien.

If U.S. Soldiers Commit War Crimes They
Should Be Tried In An International Court.

It's Better Than Having Them Executed
On The Spot If They Get Captured.

The AP/Yahoo blurb below failed to suggest the
world demand that they get the Nobel Peace Prize.

Kissinger got the award after signing a 'peace plan'
that lead to an extra 2 yrs. of war and death.
(Not to mention the 5 yrs. of war to get it signed.)

working session of the 24th Regular Meeting of the Caribbean Community
Heads of Government, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Thursday, July 3, 2003.
Caribbean leaders said Thursday they won't give in to U.S. pressure to exempt
Americans from the new International Criminal Court despite the
recent suspension of U.S. military aid to six countries in the region.
