Dollar Bill Finally Does Something:
(Not Much Of Course)

3/8/99

Dollar Bill finally bucked the oil industry
that financed his fraudulent campaigns.

He announced a plan to give employers a tax incentive
for helping employees pay for mass transit.
(And he only took 6 yrs. to do it.)

He also wants an "N11" phone line.
Like the 911 emergency number, it would
make it easier for people to get the latest traffic updates.

VP Al Gore unveiled the plan at a 'news' conference
attended by 20 traffic reporters.

Transportation Dept. chief Rodney Slater will also
conduct 4 transport summits around the U.S. in the next yr.
They will occur in San Francisco, Atlanta, Detroit and Blue Springs, Mo.

(No announcement that Israel's welfare
would be spent here on mass transit.)

The proposals were originally a small part of the
monstrous, pro-car, highway bill passed last yr.
