USA Today "State" blurbs below.

Didn't bother to say if they knew what caused the accident.

Or, mention it was using diesel fuel.

Also, failed to note the area's smog that led to a
belated photo op for George Bush Sr. as he tried to
solve his enviro image problem during the 1992 'election.'

Diesel is a major air pollutant.

And, the wreck is another reason to oppose Bush's
effort to allow unsafe Mexican trucks on our roads.

Arizona

Wednesday, August 1
Tucson - An 18-wheeler loaded with 80,000 pounds of baby formula struck a car and another truck, then burst into flames. The accident closed Interstate 10 for 16 hours. The car also caught fire. Its driver, Robert Hernandez, 40, was hospitalized in fair condition with burns. The semitrailer's driver and a passenger were treated for minor injuries.

Tuesday, July 31
Flagstaff - Conservationists are spearheading a new effort to protect state trust land from development. The Grand Canyon Trust and other groups are preparing a campaign to put a measure on the ballot that would set aside about 1 million acres of the state's 9.3 million acres of trust land. The proposal roughly mirrors a ballot measure rejected by Arizona voters last year. The state can sell trust land to raise money for schools.
