Another way the govt. enslaves us is by refusing to fund mass transit systems.

Boston's old, elevated highway was made to handle 75,000 vehicles/day.
It now handles 190,000 cars/day on it's 6 lanes.

The Big Dig will have an 8 lane highway at it's center.

It will cut 2 hrs. off rush hr. travel times for about 2 yrs.
Then it will begin to be overtaken by the expanding car population.

Within 5 yrs. it will begin to get clogged again.

$12 Billion For 7.5 miles Of Road.

As of 1999, Rep. Bud Schuster, who pushed the project, is under investigation for
accepting kick-backs from 2 of the construction companies that made from it.

(Gee! Who would have guessed?)

The sad part is, they wouldn't have even needed
it if we built upwards instead of outwards.
