A summit of the Non-Aligned Movement opened in Durban S. Africa today.

S. African Foreign Minister Alfred Nzo, said the international community
should consider the interests of the poor when making their decisions.

52 African heads of state have confirmed
their attendance at the 12th summit.

The Non-Aligned Movement was formed at the height of W.W. III.

It's goal was to prevent Soviet and/or Western domination of the continent.
