Q: What is the most pathetic form of
enslavement the West has wrought.

A: Debt!

For yrs. the West 'loaned' $$$ to the world's war lords
so they could buy weapons to fight each other
and subdue their people.

Interest rates were high.

Much of the $$$ went to keeping the dictators happy.

Often, Western govts. required countries like
Zaire to buy expensive items like Boeing 747s
as a condition of securing the loans.

Inevitably the wars broke the back of many of these nations.

Any chance of repaying the debt was lost and
they were forced to continually pay the interest.

Most nations could only pay by giving
up their nation's natural resources.
Far below the fair market value, of course.

Starvation ensued in many countries.

A small % of the world's people recognized this evil and
set about to pressure their govts. into forgiving the debts.

Dollar Bill resisted the issue for 6 yrs. before
other leaders began to make the issue public.

Finally a small amount of action is being taken
as the following head lines show.

Unfortunately none of the people who made the loans
and supported the dictators will ever see a day in jail
and Western tax payers will be stuck w/ the bill.
