In this photo provided by the San Diego Zoo, a 6-day-old
baringo giraffe named Hitaji, left, gets attention from his
mother and other giraffes Wednesday, 6/15/05, in its 80-acre
 East Africa habitat at the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park.
The male calf, standing a mere 6-feet-tall at birth compared
to the 18-foot-tall adult male, Hitaji has not seemed bothered
by his height. He is interacting with the 13 other
baringo giraffe in the exhibit as well as other animals.
The male calf is the 94th baringo giraffe born at the Wild
Animal Park and the second this year. Baringo giraffe are native to
Uganda, but are only found in two national parks in that African country.
