Francis Scott Key
Memorial Park

This park is located next to the Francis Scott Key Bridge
in the Georgetown section of Wash. D.C.

It's a very small park.
It's main feature is the Greek-style wood
columns seen in the picture below.

If you look at the people who go there you can almost
see the pride and patriotism ooze from their pores.

It's enough to make you sick.
If you ask them, virtually none can tell you why
Key was on a British ship to watch the bombardment
that inspired the Star-Spangled Banner.
When you point out the plaque that describes his
mission to recover POWs, they are very surprised.

Like myself, none of their teachers or history books
ever bothered to mention that our national anthem was
the product of our govt's. criminal POW policies.

The Statue Is Also Nice
